Re: Wiper blade arms question
I don't know where you can get them, but your blades should not come off in a storm. I have had 3 old squares and never had that problem. I did have a problem when one of the blades was not securely attached after replacement. I suggest that you try one of the new "beam" style blades that operate much more smoothly (these are the big fat kind.) They are expensive but try Rock Auto or Costco and you can get them cheaper. You also might have a damaged wiper arm that is not securing the blade properly. I would try a local junkyard for a replacement.

Re: Wiper blade arms question
I'll bet a tiny dab of JB weld on that little raised pin thingy would fix them. I would probably just look for another wiper arm and take my chances.

Re: Wiper blade arms question
1985 was Pin style right? Buy wiper blades with the coil spring retainer. Those stay on. Those cheap plastic tab retainerss found on most wipers don't hold up, or hold on.
If you do have the spring retainer, is the pin end still have a nice squared inside edge? If not, new wiper arms. Alex. |
