Indiana C-list Find "RARE"

Definitely not mine.

http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/cto/4611196409.html

The question that comes to mind when I see this is does rare really equal sought after? I feel like just because not very many of them were made doesn't mean it's with $20,000... But maybe I'm wrong.

If the owner is on the forum I sincerely hope he gets the money for it... It would mean some day mine might be worth that much more...

No. Rare does not equal desireable.

In fact, often that's why they are rare now (...they weren't desireable back then).

It's also listed on the Des Moines, Iowa c-list for $25,000.

Re: Indiana C-list Find "RARE"

That is one sweet truck that I would love to own, but I think there is a typo in the price with one too many zeros as mentioned above.

Some people just get lucky and find trucks similar to this. I would love to have me another '67 small window 3/4 or 1t.

Cool truck, but rare isn't always a sign of big dollars. Hopefully someone can agree on some sort of price and take the truck to a good home. Be a very cool piece all restored.

I HATE this statement...

Quote:
this is a very rare and original one owner C30, one ton, single wheel, pick-up with a 9 foot step side bed. It was special ordered. I found the truck on a farm in southeastern Indiana.
Not anymore, it's now a 2 owner truck and about to be a third.

$2,500, maybe 3K to the right buyer. I see rust and dents on almost every panel.

Just about every truck I inquire about nowadays is an attempt at a flip. Most sellers have owned the truck less than a week, and if there is any paperwork it is not even in their name. In some cases the truck is still sitting on the car trailer they towed it with

Sorry,,, I am guilty of all those offenses. I do at least unload them from the trailer, you can rummage through them better looking for the good stashed parts when they are on the ground.

Re: Indiana C-list Find "RARE"

I posted a Longhorn on CL a while back- not mine, but I had contemplated it. The 9' step side is pretty appealing, but at those rates, I want a show-quality, drive anywhere, masterpiece of modern resto-vation expertise. I got enough projects on my hands now- don't absolutely need another one.

I think it's a cool 2 owner truck but for $25, 000 or even $20,000 I think I'll buy a restored less cool one

Cool truck. I, however, would only give a fraction of the asking price.

Nice truck but some people are just plain goofy.
Hope I can type that without getting in trouble.

Re: Indiana C-list Find "RARE"

Very little rust!!! The right side fender is rusted out. The right bottom front door corner is rusted out. The back of the cab is rusted out. The right front fender under battery is rusted out. The floor looks in bad shape also looks like kick panels are rotted at the floor. No dents!!!. There are dents all over. If this truck was special ordered I believe it would be on the option list. It looks very basic cool no less but not worth the price. I have seen nice c30 trucks for way less. IMO.

That is because you are from AZ. For the Midwest that is very little rust....

It is truly rare and also desirable. The price is from another planet. It would be for a shortbed in the same condition. I'd think for all the big money the REseller is going for they could pull that cattle rack off. Oh,then excuse me. I didn't realize that was there to add value. My bad
