Saved myself a lots of headaches this evening
I took my fuel tank off this evening cleaned it out removed the in tank pump, cleaned the outside, painted it and reinstalled it. The hose that connects the in tank pump to the fuel line had melted and was just goo. If I hadn't decided to take the tank off for a cleaning I would have sucked that gunk into my new fuel pump and possibly pushed it into my carb. Here are a few photos of it all.....
Not sure what the in tank connecting hose was made of but it sure melted. So if you are thinking about cleaning the tank do it while your in the build process it will save a lots of headaches later !

Re: Saved myself a lots of headaches this evening
Probably the hose was not designed for ethenol laced fuels...

Re: Saved myself a lots of headaches this evening
I've dealt with this 3 times in 4 years.
Get a plastic oem style line Nothing else will hold up submerged in fuel Not even the line marked as such

Re: Saved myself a lots of headaches this evening
I took the high pressure pump out I don't need it for a carb. I'm not running fuel injection. So I installed the Holley Blue pump.

Gm pulsator. Do not use aftermarket ones.
