Re: 1964 Biscayne Wagon
I know those SW are real popular but I would love to have one ( maybe with a nice LSx) because those are what I grew up in, my parents had probably 10 or so GM station wagons. Ill be following this build!

Re: 1964 Biscayne Wagon
I have the same car, I installed an lt1 with the 4l60 and put disc brakes in. We love it. Good luck with it and hope to see more.

Re: 1964 Biscayne Wagon
That's a cool car for sure. Does it have the third seat? I used to love sitting backwards on trips....

Re: 1964 Biscayne Wagon
My uncle had a 63 when I was a kid (grade school age). They had children same ages as me and my brothers(this was in the late 60's, mind you...). Uncle let my cousins drive their cars around on their property (out in country, approx 5 acres).
Car was 3 on tree trans. 2nd oldest thought he was a hot shot, got 'er revved up in garage one day, dumped the clutch.....(LOL)...he didn't have it in reverse though, drove it through the back wall of the unattached garage, I bet his rear end is still sore... This happened in eastern Iowa....if it brings back a bad memory, have not seen cousin since around 1971...names of the guilty will not be released to protect the guilty... Key, congrats on the find. looks very straight, good job of saving another "real" car!!! |

Re: 1964 Biscayne Wagon
Plan is to get it road worthy. It came with a half torn apart 283 with tott. It has been parked since 1992. I replaced all brake shoes, wheel cylinders, hoses and master cylinder. Pulled fuel tank to have boiled out I looked inside it was clean and shiny inside so I checked sending unit it was good so reinstalled tank.
Wife sanded engine compartment and I painted it semigloss black. I have a 327 and a 350 turbo trans that will be going in. I will upload pics later.

Gotta keep the customers happy and the bills paid. Engine bay looks good. Is the 327 a 2bbl?

Re: 1964 Biscayne Wagon
Finally got some "ME" time today. Slapped in the eng. & trans. also swapping out the tott column for a A/T dash had too much patina so my wife Lori sanded it down so I can paint it back same color.
