will tubular a-arms sit lower ?

My a-arms sit on the ground now but was wondering if I would sit abit lower with tube a-arms,pic would be nice .I see some like CPP are made a little thinner than some.

The a-arm pivot point is the lowest part of the front suspension.
Doesn't matter what brand you have.

Are your arms shaved at the mount points? You can get about an inch lower by dragging them on the ground and shaving it all flat.

With out a dropmember or zing the frame its as low as it can go now.

This is as low as you can get with a stock crossmember and no frame Z.
A-arms won't change anything,...

Just for information purposes, (3) questions. In that pic lolife99, were the inner fenders removed? If I cupped the lower control, willing sit lower? What set up is that in the picture? I'll take that set up if it keeps me from spending $3300.00.

Prob a random pic he has in his files.... Removal of the inner fenders, modifying them, or custom/aftermarket units will be required for any rolling stock combo < 27" or so (w/the x-member/a-arms touching the ground).

When using the bag spacers in the coil spring pocket or a plate (both used to prevent the bag from making contact @ the bottom portion of the a-arm) drop will be less vs cupping the lower arm.

What set up is that in the picture? I'll take that set up if it keeps me from spending $3300.00.

Can't answer what that specifc set-up is but....

Cupped arms can get it lower vs not cupping.
A notched x-member can get it lower vs an un-modified x-member.
Dropped spindles help get it lower vs stock units.
Z-ing the frame can get it lower vs w/stock frame rails.

All these suggestions are less than the cost you mentioned but potentially not as safe either depending on the fab work & attention to safety related details.

Thanks for the info SCOTI. I guess in have my work cut out for me. My Air bags are installed using the bagged plates/brackets. I installed the belltech 3 inch drop spindles. I guess my next step will be to cup the lower control arms and remove my inner fenders and see how it sits. Thanks again SCOTI.

No prob. I'm carving up an extra set now. My goal is not max drop though.... I want the bags @ their spec'd height when I'm @ my desired ride height & it wasn't going to happen w/o slicing & dicing.

I have drop spindles, and cupped stock arms and my a arms sit hard. I've had a few accidental scrapes from riding low and the connection point of the a arm hitting the ground. Now my A arm is bent right there. I wouldn't recommend scraping them on purpose. Maybe with a grinder but even then I don't think it'll get ya much lower.

Thanks Ironadict. For the front bag install, I used the c10 bag plates. I'm not looking for maximum depth, I want the air bag to sit in the modified control arm evenly. Those plates suck. Every so often I have to adjust so that bags sit evenly for even air pressure. If one of that bags are positioned awkwardly on the spring pocket, it throws the bag pressures out of whack and the shor'Dee sits uneven.
