Quick! 1972 NOS Inner and Outer Grill Value?
Hey guys, Scotts72heavyhalfs son Wyatt here. I am looking at a 1972 NOS inner and outer grill and needs some help on price. Comes with used but very nice grill bowtie, headlight buckets, headlights, and grill suppoprts. I have only one pic but he says the inner is still in the original box and is perfect and the outer has one small scratch on drivers side that is impossible to see unless you really look for it and the passenger side has a small one that ia 1/8th in long and is on the bottom side. So, what could it be worth?? Thanks in advance

I don't know about that year, but I went on eBay and looked at a bunch from 61 to 80 and the price range is 300-500.
I found one for five bucks but it was from a model of the truck...

Re: Quick! 1972 NOS Inner and Outer Grill Value?
Having not seen them up super close and personal.....I'm in at $500 (maybe a little more)...pretty much all day long...if they are N.O.S
That said....they are a key upgrade to the front of your truck and are an excellent investment on its value and its looks. Renewing that grill really makes the trucks appearance 'pop. Coley

Re: Quick! 1972 NOS Inner and Outer Grill Value?
Can't recall ever seeing a NOS inner/outer grill for 71-72 sell here on the board for $500, (in last three-four years at least). After all, what does a repro inner/outer cost, $400?
Here's one outer that sold in minutes for $500: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=608829

Re: Quick! 1972 NOS Inner and Outer Grill Value?
I've been looking for one of these for awhile but not willing to spend the $$ they are bringing. Here on this board, and on fleabay they routinely sell for $900 plus in the condition you describe. Inner grilles seem to bring about $150. Shipping is my concern, insure it well.

Re: Quick! 1972 NOS Inner and Outer Grill Value?
Seems like I paid $800 for the outer grill of my old 72 4x4... but that's been quite a few years ago... might of been less or more... it was GM and fit perfectly.

Re: Quick! 1972 NOS Inner and Outer Grill Value?
Repros in general are usually bad, when it comes to grills no clue but hoods, fenders, and doors are usually a terrible fit. I'm hesitant on buying a cowl hood for fear of horrible fit.

Re: Quick! 1972 NOS Inner and Outer Grill Value?
Due to a cracked engine block in our 1963 belair wagon, the grill will have to wait. The guy is over 3 hours away from me and is busy all this week so I have no chance or time to get it right now. He said next week he would meet me somewhere that is much closer to me if the grill has not sold, so we will just have to wait and see how things play out. Thanks for all the help! -Wyatt
