What is this part?

I bought this 72 K-10 a few months back and immediately started to dismantle it. I took a ton of pictures (so I thought) and used about a full box of ziploc bags to label and organize my small parts, but of course I can't find a photo of this thing and for the life of me I can't remember where it goes! I seem to have somehow lost quite a few of the photos, and gremlins somehow hid baggies of parts (that I can no longer find). I also can't see what the heck the battery try bolts to, and I'm missing the part that holds my accelerator pedal rod into the accelerator rod support. The little thing that is ghosted out in the Accelerator Controls 71-72. Looks like home plate in baseball. Are these reproduced?

The part on the left, that I blasted and primed, what is it??

Re: What is this part?

That's the part for the gas pedal. It has a switch on it for the kickdown if you have a TH400.

Re: What is this part?

Really has me thinking becoz I have seen it before. Wondering if it was inside the heater box or mounted to it?

Re: What is this part?

Wow, thanks. I was looking everywhere and never once thought about the gas pedal. It even has the 'home plate' pattern that I mentioned in my post. I probably spent an hour looking for that gas petal piece, thinking it was just a small plate. I feel like an idiot now lol. Maybe I can blame it on my old age :-)

Re: What is this part?

I think it's a mounting bracket for the Hand Throttle cable to Gas Pedal. I have one too, couldn't figure out how to make it work even though I have a manual throttle in the parts collection somewhere.

Re: What is this part?

Do all of trucks have this part regardless of options? I have a manual trans, so no kickdown cable and also no hand throttle cable

All trucks have that part, but they are different between the hand throttle and TH400 versions.
