20 x 10 front wheel?
I have a 68 and would like to know if anybody running a 20 x 10 front wheel? Planning on running 295/35/20 tires tucked inside the fenders. The truck will be a static drop of 5 inch and don't have a problem removing the inner fenders. Wanna know if they will rub on anything else on the inner side of the wheel.
THanks!! |

Re: 20 x 10 front wheel?
I believe the 68 have a more narrow track width. Mine is a 72 with 20x10 and 285 30 20. And with regular drop spindles I had to remove the inner fenders and roll the fenders a little. But then I got the modular spindles from cpp and problem solved. Now I think I can use the inner fenders but I haven't tried yet. Some people say those spindles won't narrow your track width. ...so I had to try for myself and they really did solve my problem.

Re: 20 x 10 front wheel?
Thanks for the response!!
Guys are running 20 x 8.5 with a 4.5 backspace. So I did some calculating and if I used a 6 inch back spacing on the 10 inch rim along with 1 inch narrowed Porterbuilt control arms I should be right where I wanna be. I also bought the big brake kit from CPP that comes with the modular spindles so I should have lots of outer fender clearance. Frame and inner fender are the spots of concern. What backspace are you running on your rims? Dudz |
