Which Fenders???

So I have a 72 c10 cab with 72 front clip and want a 68 slant nose. I know I need a hood and grill but do I need new fenders also and what else am I going to need in order to build a 68 front clip that wont swap over from the 72?

Re: Which Fenders???

I believe you need the whole front clip, including the core support. Others may chip in and clarify this.

Re: Which Fenders???

I agree with RenoKeene-68 chevy fenders or 68 through 72 GMC fenders. 68 radiator support. Good luck, Bruce

Re: Which Fenders???

You didn't say, but I'm assuming it's a Chevrolet, if so, you need the entire front clip. Even the hood latch is different. The ONLY parts that will swap over are the inner fenders & hood springs.

You'll need 67/68:

Fenders
Hood
Core support
Grille
Hood Latch & Support
Splash Pan (something 69-72 don't have, it bolts to the bottom of the 67/68 core support)
Headlight buckets and trim

I think that's everything

Re: Which Fenders???

Just think, GM got rid of the slant nose because the execs thought that the front end styling was and I quote "too pretty" for a truck.

Re: Which Fenders???

Are you wanting 68 or 67? Basically marker lights or no marker lights. Just curious.
