191 tilt column
I got this rebuilt column with my 1971, can anyone tell me if it is a 68-72 column or exactly what year? Thanks.

Re: 191 tilt column
Looks like a true truck tilt column to me and correct for 69-72 I believe

Re: 191 tilt column
No, it is a van column with the correct length shaft for a truck!

Re: 191 tilt column
I hate to disagree with 70 short fleet cause I know he knows his stuff and I may be wrong but it looks kinda like a motor home column to me. but then again it has been a while since I've got to look at any of my stuff much less work on it. Please forgive me if I am wrong. Jim

Re: 191 tilt column
Oh, is it the position of the neutral safety switch higher up on the column?

The angle of the shifter arm is what makes me trigger that memory.

Re: 191 tilt column
I can be wrong all day as long as you do as good as a job on the next cluster as you did on the last one I got from you. Even though I put it in and a tilt at the same time I have only driven it like 9 miles since then. That is shameful I know. Time slips away from me so easy now I think I'll do it a little later and a couple of years pass. I am getting things in and out of the shop, just not my trucks.
