Thought you all would like to see my rig. 1981 c70
It has been a wile but I finally have it on the road. Used it all week and it is working out great.. I do have a small leak in the oil pan and I may have to replace it ... Still working ,still love it so far.. Swamp Rooster ..

That load was 5.08 tons and it did not even seem like it was on there.. Swamp Rooster.

These trucks were not built to show anxiety very often.
I had an opportunity to load about 4000lbs on the back of my C50 for a few minutes. I expected to see the suspension drop and see the old rusty flatbed flex under the weight; not an inch. I measured from the axle to frame before/after to show total spring compression and it totaled 3/4"!!! The old beat-up rusty flatbed didn't even budge, it was like nothing was on it. They may not be turbo-diesel speed-demons, but these trucks are TOUGH. (I can only imagine a C70) |
