Feeling nostalgic today, so I thought I would wash the Blazer that got me started in this business. I really need to start it's restoration sometime soon..

I love this old truck more than any other in my possession. I would give up my GMC before I did this one. My kids will get it some day when I am long gone... WES

Its funny how all of the "new" cars and trucks I have bought in the past, and will buy in the future, are considered expendable. They will come, get used up, and go. But the Blazer I bought over 20 years ago and still own is considered a permanent fixture. Like you, I will pass mine on to my son.

It's amazing isn't it.. I purchased my Blazer I believe in 1989. 24 almost 25 years ago. I have way to many memories invested in it to ever give it up. I remember all 3 of my kids balled up on the floor under the dash with the heater on going fishing with dad. It was a beautiful sunny day in January and we were headed out to catch winter black mouth in commencement bay. So nice a day I had removed the top..

The kids still give me a bad time about that and they are 30, 32, and 34.

Real nice orange crush there. I've always liked that color. My friend had onè back in high school. It was rotted all to hell but was still beautiful to me. Your spears to not need much restoration. Looks to be in real good shape after having it as long as you have. Will be watching to see of you do year it down though. Always love that part. Looking for everything and hoping that bit of rust you find is just surface. Lol

I know exactly what you mean Wes. I bought my second Blazer back in 2000. 14 years together. Not one I'll let go of. Already promised to my first born grandson. I enjoy driving it every time I climb behind the wheel. It's garage kept and the top came off back in 2000 and never been back on. It's my poor man's convertible. Love driving it topless. Hope to enjoy it for many years to come.

That is sweet Wes. Of my whole corral, my Blazer is my favorite with my 70 El Camino SS running a close second.

I'm especially fond of the Blazer cause I'm the second owner and the original owners were customers for many years at my old auto repair shop.

I love the orange. I'll probably stay with the original blue when I'm ready to paint. Were'nt most of them factory painted one color inside and out. That's what would make it hard for me to change it, unless i tear it all the way down, which I dont think I'll do.

Thanks also for the great parts service. It's nice to be able to speak with the authority when ordering parts.

Lol __________________ 72 3/4 ton blazer. 5 inch lift on 35 inch tires. 355 corvette engine with crane roller rockers, rv cam, edelbrock carb and intake with one inch spacer. Thrush Headers with flowmaster 40 duels. 4speed sm465 manual. 4 wheel disk brakes with Inboarded rear shock prerunner style mounts and shocks.
