Does anyone see anything great here?

Trying to get a feel for these trucks, and it seems that usually these classic car dealers can be high, so what do you think of this truck for the price?

That truck is $3000 at best! In just this one pic I can see half a dozen things that are done incorrectly.

Re: Does anyone see anything great here?

Nice thing is all the stuff you would worry about has happened. Rusty s-10 frame with worn out suspension, self oiling trans seal, unpainted welds for body mounts, bungy battery restraint, medusa wiring job, powerful V-6, rip and tuck upholstry, cracked windshield (passed DOT inspection???). I hope it sells for 16K, makes mine a 30K truck as it sits....

Re: Does anyone see anything great here?

So glad you all are replying, I thought I was missing something, I've never really looked at these trucks, so I really wasn't sure, but I was thinking its was high.

Re: Does anyone see anything great here?

This is a good example of why a stock frame is best IMHO.

Re: Does anyone see anything great here?

I do. I see a great opportunity to sharpen negotiating skills. Go in and ask what he paid for it. Then ask what he has done to it. Then make him an offer. He can only say no. Well actually, he could act insulted and offended that you dare offer him what he actually paid himself. Guarantee he ground whom ever he bought that from down down down. Classical! I wish I had a place like that near me. I'd be in there once a week!

It's a boat = a hole in the water to pour $ into -

I doubt I'd let my daughter ride in it, much less buy it for her !

Re: Does anyone see anything great here?

Wow, you guys are pretty harsh.

But many of these replies also prove that you haven't been keeping current on the prices of these things. I have because I've been in the market for one.

Virtually any AD PU, either clipped or on an S10 chassis, will fetch a quick $15K now, and if it has no paint it's normal to see them over $20 grand. Yes, unpainted units are selling for more than painted ones. That truck is EXACTLY what everyone is looking for; it will sell quickly at that price. The only thing keeping it under $20,000 is the V6. If it were bagged and laid frame it could go for $25,000.

Your trucks are skyrocketing in value. Don't argue - enjoy it.

Re: Does anyone see anything great here?

I feel like so many of these trucks that are on s10 frames are hacked because people swear it is so much cheaper and easier than a drop axle with disc brakes and a rear end swap with new leaf springs then they realize that to do it right is equally expensive and more work. I can understand why people who want to bag it go s10 because bagging a stock frame is definitely more expensive but I personally bagged my stock frame. But just to have it lowered on a s10 frame imo seems like a waste unless your frame is wasted

Re: Does anyone see anything great here?

No offense to anyone that has done S-10 swaps, but when I see a classic with a straight S-10 chassis swap I think to myself "beginner's build" and I assume the builder didn't have the tools/skill to do it the right way JMO. That or he's trying to flip for a quick buck.
