What should voltage reading be while driving?
77 3/4 ton with 454. It is usually in the center at 14 but drove it to work today and noticed on way to work and on way home it was like 12 or so at the most. Put new battery 2 months ago. Possibly alternator getting weak?

Re: What should voltage reading be while driving?
In a perfect world it would be around 14 volts. But anything down to around 13 is OK. An indication of 12 volts could mean you have a charging problem which could be alternator or poor connection somewhere.
If you have a multimeter, check the voltage across the battery terminals with the engine running, and compare that to what your gauge displays.
