Front shocks on rear?
I read some place that the front shocks would fit on a 64 rear that has 4 inch lower coils. I measured them , and it looks like they may work. Has anyone tried this?

Re: Front shocks on rear?
Most good quality shocks are designed to dampen and rebound at different rates for different weights. Just because they fit, doesn't mean its the best ride compared to a set that was designed for the rear of a truck vs. fronts that were designed with the weight of an engine over them.

Re: Front shocks on rear?
For $88 I was thinking of buying a set just to keep around! Don't have a truck they would fit, but would be a reason to get a truck hehehe

Re: Front shocks on rear?
Relocate the shock ends w/revised brackets. Cheap & you can use off the shelf shocks that are spec'd for the application vs guessing. I like the option for the uppers in the 1st link better vs cutting the originals but both allow OE shocks to be used.....
