wheel spacing help !!!!
Starting on a new build. 69 pro-touring. My head hurts from trying to decide on wheel back spacing. I'm going to be running 18x9.5 in rear and 18x8 in front , id really like to run 18x9.5 on the front also if anyone thinks I can help me out . Id it helps the front suspension will be ride tech complete a-arms with coil-overs with most likely cpp modular spindles. I want as much lip on the wheel as I can get. I don't like when a wheel and tire sets in too far .

Best bet,... is to install your new suspension.
Then get out your tape measure and see what will fit. Wheels cost too much to guess or take someone elses word for it. There is a good thread about measuring for wheels on here somewhere.

Re: wheel spacing help !!!!
With the price of decent wheels being what it is, I'd invest in one of the backspace measurement tools. If you have the tire you plan to use you can mount the tire on the tool, slide it inboard and outboard until tire clears (or doesn't, if you're unlucky) and then take a reading from the scale on the tool. It will tell you exactly what the backspacing needs to be. And of course if you have a means of doing so (spring out, etc) you can check the full suspension travel. Up front you can also verify it won't hit at full steering lock to lock.
I'd really rather rent one, but if you're going to do it a couple of times over your life, probably a good investment.
