disk swap bracket question
How did you guys drill this hole in the firewall? (See pic.) Look closely and you can see the pencil mark I made where the hole needs to be. Sorry the pic is sideways.
I cant get a drill in that tight spot to drill a straight hole for the bolt that needs to come through and secure the bracket from the booster. And drilling from the other side inside the cab makes me concerned that the hole will not be exactly in the right place. thanks |

Re: disk swap bracket question
I can't see the pencil mark, but what booster are you using? maybe try using a air ratchet with a self tapping screw to make a pilot hole then go inside and drill outward. Or use a center punch, and then go inside and look for the dimple, punch it back the other way, and drill it.

I darkened the pencil mark. Also a pic of master and booster.

Re: disk swap bracket question
Davepl did this recently. You could PM the question to him.
Can you get in there with a shortened drill bit in a right angle drive or from inside the cab? |

Re: disk swap bracket question
Thanks all for helping. I got it done. Used a dremell to start a tiny hole so I could see light from the hole on the inside of the cab. Then drilled from the inside.
Now the the big problem. The brake lines. But thats a hole different thread and drama! |
