76 pop top camper
http://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/cto/4708859187.html
Would the camper work size wise on a 69-72? Im half tempted to buy it, get the camper, and sell the 76! Somebody please tell me it wouldn't work!!!! I need it like a hole in the head! |

That's a piece of history! Blazer Chalet, only about 2500 made bt '76 and '77, maybe less. Looks to be in very good shape.

Re: 76 pop top camper
Its not a chalet, i think winabago built chalets out of fiberglass, and they dont pop up. Cool thing about a pop top, is you could still go in parking garages. I dont know what the diff is weight wise. I think i read chalets are 700lb give or take. I have no idea what a "four wheel" (the brand i think) is.

Sure looks like a Chalet to me. Truck has been painted other than original Chalet setup.

lookin at a google search, chalets do pop top, but they have a hard top that goes a couple feet above the cab, and I think they stick out the back farther. |

Re: 76 pop top camper
There is a half top on a 76 and the bed floor is different, so I doubt it would just drop right on and work. I would imagine that part of what holds that thing to a blazer and makes it wheather tight is the half top.

Re: 76 pop top camper
I'm fairly sure its a four wheel camper brand.I have one on my 71 blazer.you have to cut your top on your blazer if you have a 69-72 blazer.you cut it so it fits against the camper

Re: 76 pop top camper
Hmm, i think you are correct. 76 was the first year of the half top. Good! I will want a pop top, but after ls swap, lower lift kit, etc$, etc$.
Thanks! |
