Smooth Cowl hoods

Check this out. I wrote to Advantage fiberglass regarding building a smooth cowl hood and here is their response.

Gary
It can be done with my hood [small body line] I will simply spray extra gell in the body line then sand the line off I will do this for an extra 50.00 the sand scratches will be finished to 180 grit

Here's their site www.advantagefiberglass.com

Is it just me that's confused or is everyone else as clueless as i am as to what the hell gary is talking about???

What do you mean by smooth hood?

cuz this hood look pretty smooth on both sides now.

What small body line is he refering to?

What the hell is this guy talking about when he say's he'll spray extra gell coat in the body line and then sand it off ?? HUH Why spray it on in the first place if your just gonna sand it off.

AirMale, Do you mean under the hood? If you do, then yes. There is probly alittle more than that. It says it is a 3 1/2 in hood.
