Re: My first
Engine was rebuilt 5k ago and repainted ( original was yellow). Not a sign of rust anywhere. In shop now getting all new gaskets, valve covers, radiator. Not planning on anything major but having the ( appear ant) usual nuisance problems like Radio volume control not working well, Fan only running on one speed, Temp gauge not reading accurately, etc. Other than tinkering with those items, I plan to put 3 pt seat belts in and drive her daily until I have to hand over to my daughter in April.

Re: My first
Very nice ride! Your daughter should be proud.
As for the temp gauge, when I got my truck the temp gauge didn't work at all. Eventually discovered the PO (my late uncle) replaced the 195 degree thermostat with a 165. I installed a 190 thermostat and it reads "cool" all the time now. (I suppose, down the road, I'll try a 195.) My truck used to be my grandfather's when I was a child. I remembered wanting the truck, now it's mine. I like how yours has what appears to be the original AC. Does it work? My grandparents lived in Northern California. No AC needed there. I live in AC, and would love to have it. But I cringe at the thought of all the chopping necessary!
