Will someone on this forum please give me the deminsions ( length width & heihgt) of a gas tank for a short wide bed 1973 to 1987 1/2 ton chevy pickup? Also the general location of the filler neck.I am also interested knowing in the capasity. My hope is to install a side tank in my 1967 C10 short wide. I don't care which side it is on. I am aware that I hill need to modify the lower rear of the cab. Thanks for any information.

I don't know the dimensions, but for a short bed it will have to be a 16 gallon tank, not a 20 gallon tank. You might do a google search to find the overall dimensions from a vendor. Here is a link to one that claims to be a direct fit:
