Lowering my truck!!
I've got a 63 longbed with stock height and I want to lower it down a bit with shorter coils. They make shorter coils that you can just install. My question is, for the rear end, if I drop it 5 inches, can I get away with it without having to c-notch the frame?

Re: Lowering my truck!!
From what I read about this the best answer is yes and no. Every truck is different. Some people say they went with 5" springs in the rear and had no problems. Others have said they they had to C-notch it. Sorry I know that's probably not the definitive answer you were looking for.

I would say you should not need a c-notch but you could always buy a 4 inch drop coil and a one inch block and that way if 5 is to low you can remove the block.
