just finished a dash assembly for my 1980 Monte Carlo project

Well, my 80 Monte has every option including power moonroof but the OEM dash was trashed and I have a few GP dashes on hand so....I put one together with all options. Tach, pulse delay wiper (on dash), rear defrost and RH remote mirror. I also upgraded to a GM CD player since its a dead-on color match to the color of the dash which is called elephant grey.

Looks like a clean dash; let's see someone of your project.

Very nice work. Is the wood grain factory or some overlay you applied? Is it black wood grain or am I looking at it wrong.

Great work,
Tom

Re: just finished a dash assembly for my 1980 Monte Carlo project

Well, I have a graphic design background so I made my own textured black woodgrain insert overlays for the GP dash. I'm building a 3-tone interior scheme for the car-black, dark grey and nearly an off-white shade of light grey. I start by assbling varying combination of parts I keep in stock for my own builds and see what I can come up with.
