Exclamation WTB: 4x4 or LONGHORN DANA 60 rear end

Hello. Does anyone in the Portland OR./Vancouver WA./ Seattle WA. area's, have a Dana 60 from a 3/4 ton 4x4 or '70-'72 Longhorn for sale? I'm wanting to get rid of my Eaton in my '71 Longhorn and convert to a Dana 60. I'm willing to travel out of my area for one. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks Mike.

Hi Mike, I see you listed 70-72 above. Remember in 71 they went to the larger 9/16 studs, can be changed but may as well look for the right one as they are out there. Mel

Hey Mel. Thanks for reminding me. I know we just talked about this the other day, I forgot. I'm just hoping someone in the areas I mentioned above might have something. Thanks Mike.

Thanks for the offer, but to ship this would have to be truck fright. Shipping would be to much to come out to Oregon. Only way I could offer anything would have to be about $200 plus shipping for it to be worth my while, and I know you wouldn't go for that amount. I do appreciate the offer. Someone in my area must have one? Thanks Mike.

Re: WTB: 4x4 or LONGHORN DANA 60 rear end

I have a good housing, 4:10 or3:73 or 3:54 gear and posi unit and probably axles, but I'm far away. I had a 72 Chevy K20 that had the eaton w/posi and wanted to change it to dana 3:54 front and rear.

Let me share, the info I found out searching for a conversion from the eaton to dana.
The K20 Dana was installed in all GMC. The housing is different in the spring perch mounting and shock mounts on the K20 dana and the c20 dana, but the guts all interchange. My Chevy Custom Camper has the C20 dana. Hope this helps and maybe some else has some info.

[B]I have a complete, never opened, 71-2 Longhorn diff. 3:54 BB ratio. It is still sitting on wheels & tires, so it is not down on the ground. It is outside. $300

Frank, I'm very interested in this diff. Could you send me some pics. of diff. and could you measure distance from brake backing plate, to center of spring perch? Price is no problem, sounds fair to me. If all works out on my end, I could drive up this week, Tuesday or Wednesday. Sounds like just what I'm looking for. I'll be in contact later this week. Thanks Mike.

Re: WTB: 4x4 or LONGHORN DANA 60 rear end

Hello. Is this a Longhorn or a regular long bed pickup? Wheel base of a Longhorn is 133 inches, spring location on the perches is 1 inch difference, that's the reason I need one out of a Longhorn. Your price sounds good, just need's to be a Longhorn frame. Thanks for the response, Mike.
