68 red paint schemes
I have a original red 68 cst. im pretty sure it was white on top (still is) but I'm not sure about the grill. and it had a 4D89AA paint stripe. any one have any info on that? SPID says 44AD (all i can make out)

That would be a paint code 544 which describes a 514 red truck with a 526 Ivory (off-white) roof in the conventional two-tone scheme.
The D89 stripe was a double pinstripe that ran along the upper bodyline similar to the later 69-72 belt molding. It was offered in black or white only and on a red truck it would have been white. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=544757 I have posted a number of times on both "544" and "D89" so a quick search should give you a lot of pictures and information. Here is a 68 CST 544 truck but the stripe is added and NOT the factory D89 stripe.
