Tank Install Questions
I have what seems like a silly question.....but I'm going to ask anyway.
Is this the proper direction the tank should be facing? I always thought the pump and sump should face the rear so that gravity would push the gas towards it while driving??? Am I over thinking this? Also, where are you guys purchasing your 3/8" EFI fuel line? How many feet did you purchase/need to route everything? Are you running a solid line at the firewall or rubber all the way to the rail? What additional fittings did you need and what size? I ordered this kit and just curious what I need now for the tank to the regulator and then the regulator to the fuel rail. Thanks http://www.speedwaymotors.com/LS1-Fu...FaZDMgodskEA5A |

Re: Tank Install Questions
Summit Racing for everything...
I used SST braided TEFLON EFI hose.... figure with todays corrosive fuels.... PTFE (teflon) was the way to go.

With doing new gauges when I did the LSx swap.... I opted for the fuel pressure gauge.... (and trans temp, vac in"HG and then the normals) Made my first start a breeze... simply bump on the fuel pump (ignition on.. ignition off... ingnition on.. ignition off) until the fuel pressure gauge at the regulator reaches 58 PSI.... easy way to tell the system is bled out... the rails have fuel.... and are at the right PSI.....without any leaks (pressure bleed off) My first start ended up being like starting my 2012 GMC daily driver.... popped right off..... kinda anti climatic and boring to be honest...

Re: Tank Install Questions
Nice dash setup. I LOVE SpeedHut gauges. I have them in my Dodge Ram and my '64 Chevy II wagon.
