02 6.0 ?'s
Were the 02 6.0's a good engine I am considering buying a 02 one ton 4x4 with the 6.0, truck has 32,000 on the clock. Also any other problems that were common with this year. Thanks

Maintained 6.0 will go to 250k+ with no mechanical problems. Only common problem that is engine related would be an exhaust leak at the manifold. The outer bolts snap due to heat cycles.
Fuel pumps are common, Instrument cluster problems are common, Knock sensors and harnesses happen from time to time. |

The broken exhaust manifold bolts are common throughout the truck LS engine line...

The problem child 6.0's were the '00's if I remember correctly, even then not very common. I'd feel very confident with a '02.
