Shot leaf springs? Measurement needed

I have been running chasing my tail trying to get front shocks set up properly. I was fairly sure I'd positioned the upper mounts correctly but when I go to install standard length shocks on my stock-height truck, I'm darn near bottomed out. 2" up travel and the shock is done.
Does anyone have a measurement from spring to frame or from hub to fender or something for a stock height, healthy leaf spring? I'm trying to determine whether I should re-arch / replace the spring or move the mount.

Bueller?
Nobody knows how far off the deck a TF is supposed to sit?

Scroll down this page to page 86 and then down to find your exact model. The first several pages are blank so start scrolling after the page opens.

Re: Shot leaf springs? Measurement needed

No info for the front end.
What I eventually figured was that it'll be easier to just find a shock of the right length / mounting / valving for my truck as it is than it is going to be to find out exactly what's going on.
Here's the link to the Monroe application guide. When I start caring more, I'll buy some 1990 Chevy P30 box van front shocks. They'll fit and they should be good and stiff.

Re: Shot leaf springs? Measurement needed

Try the link in my sig. It lands on a 56 page, go to bottom, year index, select you year, then index for year. Lots of frame, spring, etc. specs. I had to do the same with my shocks. measured the static connection center to center, then jacked it around to get relatively full extension and compression of springs. Found a Rancho Shock that would work.
