Front Bag Cups
Over the last week I started installing the front and rear bags on my 70 C10. Everything went together pretty well, but I have a question regarding the cups on the front bags. The cup appears to be like all the other cups, made from a section of 5.5" pipe and a plate welded on top. The cup has a really tight fit going into the recessed section of the lower a arm where the coil spring sat before and it doesn't appear to sit all the way down. Is that normal, or should I trim the arm/cup to make it fit into the a arm? I haven't put any air or weight on the bags yet because I am still in the process of installing the air management, so I guess it's possible that with some weight and driving the cup will seat itself the rest of the way. I'm looking to see what others have done or if it is even an issue.

Re: Front Bag Cups
So the weight of the truck didn't do much to drive the cup in. I purchased a set of 2" tall 5" diameter cups, but they are allowing the 2600 bags to run slightly on the rear of the lower arm. Any thoughts? What size cups typically work on 67-72 trucks(I know all trucks are different)?

Re: Front Bag Cups
What did you end up doing? Having the same issue but it seems like everyone sells 5.5" diameter ?

Re: Front Bag Cups
Nothing. I'm running the 5" cups. I adjusted my air pressure to keep the bag off the a-arm while driving. In all honesty I don't think the bag touching the a-arm while driving would be a big deal since I don't have and sharp edges or burrs where it could touch.
