From mean green to the White Knight
Figured I'd start a build thread on my current project. A 1972 GMC K2500. I bought it 3 years ago when I was 16. it was a big mean ugly looking pile of rust but it ran good. For the last 3 years I've used it as a play toy and to haul wood in the winter. I recently decided I wanted it to look as good as it runs which is a long shot because the body is 95% toast. What little isn't rusted out is dented and creased so bad its unsalvageable. So I bought a 69 2wd with a good body but a blown motor. I'm planning on switching bodies and currently have the 2wd torn apart doing body work. The last pic is the only one I have of the donor parts truck.

Re: From mean green to the White Knight
The plans are to make it white with black trim and spice up the motor a bit, add a 4 inch lift and some sort of front locker. I'd like to keep the stock cab lights with raised dimples if possible and clean up the tow mirrors and keep them too. I will be taking pictures as I make progress but right now there's nothing to see but piles of 69 GMC parts being straightened and sanded.
