Was this 72 K5 door worth $20?

I grabbed this RH 72 door today for $20. Worth it? Looks like a crack where the upper hinge attaches, where the vent frame is affixed, and has a broad dent at the bottom. No rust.

Absolutely worth $20, worst case scenario it's great patch panels.

I thought the vent window frame was huge, and a lot different than factory. Took me a while to realize it was the garage door track and hinge.

The latch reinforcement should be worth what you paid for the door.

As far as I can tell everything is worth $20. That's worth more. It's a score.

Re: Was this 72 K5 door worth $20?

Thanks guys - I haven't done any real door repair (been fortunate with good sheet metal) so wasn't sure if the cracks were a big issue or just a re-weld. My RH K5 door has a little bubbling just below the vent window on the inside, which seems like an odd location for rust to develop. Not sure what to expect when/if I ever tear the truck down so wanted a spare in case.

Re: Was this 72 K5 door worth $20?

Both my doors were bad for different reasons. I looked forever trying to find something decent in my general vicinity with little or no luck. I was about to buy full repro doors when I stumbled across a horrible set at a swap meet. You can see one of them in the pic below. I walked by them a couple of times...on my way out the guy says, "just give me $65 so I don't have to take these home." That's the only reason I bought them...even though they were kind of trash, the way these parts sell..$65 for a set of complete, though crappy, doors felt free. And wouldn't you know it...as you saw in my build thread, we ended up rebuilding and using the driver's side...so yeah, $20 for a no rust Blazer door...you did more than OK. If it'd been the driver door, you'd just be showing off
