Craigslist ad

Speedway doesn't hold these for very long before crushing.
68 GMC may have some needed parts if you are in the STL area
Not mine just sharing the information

Re: Craigslist ad

I would love to have that box, but I bet they want more than scrap metal price for it.
Plus... Rapid City to St. Louis for a box? Well, I have done crazier I guess.
Its only 955 miles.... See, its under 1000 at least

you drive there, you'd leave with a lot more than a box I bet. Like a kid in a candy store

Agreed
I already called on an "as is" price for the whole truck.

I'm right on the way if you need a place to crash and some fuel for the body.... You would probably be forced to eat a big bowl of homemade Peach Cobbler with a big scoop of homemade ice cream on top of it though.... Just a warning....

Re: Craigslist ad

Not common to see them in this salvage yard. Nice weather for it this weekend.

I don't have the space my homeowners association already give me dirty looks on occasion. But they leave me alone as I try to keep everything under roof. I am referred to "as the guy with all the old trucks."

Re: Craigslist ad

He has not returned my call on the price yet and I estimate $400-$450 for gas alone.
Plus, If I got that box AND the engine referred to in my signature below... then I would have to restore my 67 instead of make it a shortbox. Then, what do I do about my screen name? This is outta control! LOL

Re: Craigslist ad

Hey 67cst my dads gotta go over to granite city tomorrow so we'll stop by n look at it, see if theres anything we want. I'll take some pics of bed and tailgate and everything for you. If the grills not rusted through I think it'd make a neat wall hanger in the garage. Anyway. I'll report tomorrow. Anyone else goin tomorrow?

Re: Craigslist ad

Grill looks worth at least garage art for sure. Possibly the matching trim on the hood too while your there. Someone is always looking for that trim piece.

Re: Craigslist ad

Long story short, my Grandpa had a medical concern and we won't make it out before they close. I'll see if I can make it out there Monday.

EDIT: didn't look at the ad before posting. I thought they closed at noon not five. I SHOULD be able to head out there.
