Jury is still out on a name. 72'
I have been on this site everyday for the past year or so and have loved looking at all the trucks on here. My 72 I bought about 2 years ago was a 12 footer for sure. Once you got up close you realized just how much work it really needed. So I began tear down. Finally got er' painted in the last few months and now beginning to rebuild my motor. Just going to rebuild it fairly stock for now until I can afford an LS swap. Still have a lot of dreams for er', so I will just post the photos of where I'm at to this point and the long road it's been just to get paint laid down.

The day I picked er up. I got a really good deal on er. $700 bucks and drove her home about an hour.

The bed on it was full of dough. Several inches thick. So I found a local guy that has several of these old trucks and got a better bed than what I had. Also replaced doors which were full of dough as well.

Had to round the door bottoms. The upper part of the door is rounded so why wouldn't ya do it to the bottom? Love this mod. Shout out to Troy Allen for helping me all of the body work and customizing.

Still a long way to go. Rebuilding the motor right now. Just got done running all new wire. Eventually going to go with an LS swap in the future but as of right now funds are a little too low for that. This is definitely a budget build. Buying piece by piece when I can afford it.
The truck will definitely also be getting a lot lower. Wanting to bag it but that will be last. Want to get it running and driving again to enjoy it before that. |
