6 lug torq thrust st or summit legend fitment
Hey guys I am very interested in the AR Torq-Thrust ST 6 lug / 6 spoke 20" or the Summit Legend 6 lug / 6 spoke 17" wheels and I was wondering if they fit and if some of you out there have them on can you post some pics? I am talking about these wheels http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ar...38nc/overview/ or http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-141-7883c0

I like the torq thrust but 20" don't leave much rubber for cushioning the bumps.

I rather the 17" for sidewall cushioning.

Re: 6 lug torq thrust st or summit legend fitment
I have the 5 lug version of the Summit wheels on my truck. I have 235 55 17 front tires and 275 55 17 rears. Front rims are 17 x 8 4.5" backspace and rears are 17 x9 5". I have the wider 5 lug 71-72 rear on my shortbed and that's about a big a tire as will fit without mods.

I like the graphite color Summit ones. Been thinking of getting a set for my truck so I can switch the look.

Thanks for the responses...WarMonger and Mike C did you have to modify the rims at all? I have heard some need to have the lug holes drilled out a bit.

Re: 6 lug torq thrust st or summit legend fitment
I did NOT have to mod the lug holes, but I did have to open up the center hole of the rim a little to mount flush to the drums. Does that make sense?

Thanks again WarMonger! Yes it does make sense! That is actually what I have heard before...Were you able to do it yourself or did you take them to a shop?

Re: 6 lug torq thrust st or summit legend fitment
Harbor freight die grinder and some burr bits. I had a buddy kept shooting the bits with wd40 while I was grinding so they would not get clogged up with the aluminum. It took about 10 minutes per wheel. I would grind a little, test fit, grind a little test. Do that about 6 times.
