285-70-15 on steelies
Anyone running a 285-70-15 rear tire on 15x8 steelies with a stock 1963-66 rear end ?
I have seen a few post here in a search but looks like they were using a narrowed rear end....or they were all 67-72 trucks..

Re: 285-70-15 on steelies
I have a buddy looking for that size tire and about the only place is Coker Tire. They bought the BFG molds and make those tires now..
He is running those on a '70 and they look great!! I dont have any pics of it, but they fill the wheel well great!!

Re: 285-70-15 on steelies
Here is a truck pic- a Suburban. The rear has been lowered 3 1/2" with P275/60R15's. Wheels are 15x8 Kelsey-Hayes with 3 7/8" back spacing- the factory 4x4 steel wheels. They don't rub anywhere, but there's not much room left. Stock fender lips and inner wells. Stab bars help keep it from rolling. 295's WOULD rub.

Re: 285-70-15 on steelies
I got lucky and found a set 285-70-15 on CL. the guy had them on a roadster but the were a little big. I picked them up at a steal of $200.00
less then 100 miles on them.. This was a test fit. I will need to move my inner wheel well up about two inches and install my new PB track bar. But other then that they fit nice. Love that look !!!
