Any one tried this ,Putting a pickup cab on a Blazer frame ?I know it is about 10" shorter than a short box frame,I thought it might be interesting ! I already have 2 cabs the moving one the frame is shot and for 200.00 bucks with a 87 mercury marine 350 boat engine included.Body is shot only good stuff is the glass and fiberglass top(which I don't want)and the front sheet metal.The drive train is good as is the frame. Will the cab bolt right on without any mods ?

Have seen a few extra short trucks ... that being a blazer frame used instead of a truck frame... pretty much you need the cab support mounts off a regular truck frame for the rear cab supports.
And the truck bed mounts also off a truck frame. Tricky part is shrtening a bed that much... i have seen a couple locally... one has bed and cab molded together and one has bed seperate from cab. No pics saved.. sorry

As a matter of fact, I did that with a 71 Blazer I bought that was in a very lite roll. Actually, it just went into a ditch and went on its side very lightly. I put a 72 cab and then cut the back 1/2 off the Blazer. i had a junk bed and took the front 6" and welded it to the front of what I cut off the Blazer. Actually, it was a really neat truck that made alot of heads turn. I was about 85% finished withit when I lost interest. It was driveable, but I never got the paint work done. I wanted to paint it white with flames and drop it about 3 inches from the ground. I finally, started to rob parts from it for other trucks when the guy that I was building it for, stiffed me on the deal. I ended up junking the bed, selling the frame to a board member, and using the cab on another truck. I gave the 307 to my brother (without even a thank you). It was 12" shorter than a shortbed. If I was to do another one, I would mold the bed to the cab and have an "El Camino" type truck. I think that would be a much cleaner look. It was fun to do it though. I may have a picture somewhere. If I can dig it out, Ill post it.
It can be done!

I thought it would be different looking ,I always liked the blazer look without the top. I have the brackets off the truck frame already so that should not be a problem. I may make a stake rack for now as the easy route.

there is a blazer converted to a pickup on collectorcartrader.com right now.

I imagine that back when the Blazers were new, they offered aftermarket cab conversion kits. It's kinda strange that GM didnt make them that way from the factory, Ford did with the Bronco and IH did with the Scout.

Its too bad you are on the wrong end of the US.. I know if a stake bed that is made to fit a Blazer with a truck cab in Calif

I will check out colectorcartrader.com to see what it will lokk like. Yes it is too bad they did not make a conversion like the bronco and scout they were hany for small jobs!
