frame transportation

so for anyone whos had their frame powdercoated...how did ya transport the stripped frame around?

rent a tow dolly from uhaul dont tell them its for a frame tell them youre transporting a legally regisered car or they wont rent it to ya ( you may have to provide a registration for the other car too)

How much would it be to rent a tow dolly or a tow bar from u-haul? I might need one next weekend...

I used a flatbed truck. Also have a 24 ft trailer. Make sure you take some cardboard with you when you pic it up. You dont want it sliding around.

I'm going to rent a BIG U-haul with a rear folding deck to transport my frame.

thats the plausible idea ive heard for my situation...that would work out nicely since i dont have anything besides the truck to tow with.

I understand that uhaul sets different prices in diffrent areas of the country here in the northeast the tow dolly goes for $45 plus insurance etc per day but ive tried to rent one lately and its a hassel cause all them college kids are using them you have to reserve up to a week in advance
