I need some tips
So my heater core went out and I bought a new one to replace it but I can't get the black cover under the dash off. I unscrewed all the screws under there and took the glove box out too. There's about 3 clip things with round heads on them and I'm not sure how to get them off. Any other tips would be greatly appreciated as well.

Re: I need some tips
Those are studs that go through the firewall. You unbolt them from the engine compartment side. You will need to drop the inner fender to get the bottom one.

Re: I need some tips
Bigsteve, I have seen many people say they could reach them without dropping the fender, but you said something that makes me wonder. I couldn't get anywhere near that bottom stud on my '78 but my truck has A/C. I wonder if that isn't the major difference as to reaching it or not. In fact, I couldn't even budge the bolts on the inner fender and had to resort to drilling that bottom stud out. I replaced it with a sheet metal bolt and it worked out okay that way.
