94 GMC 1500 shifting problems
Been doing research on this particular problem for a few weeks. Can't seem to find an answer. Truck won't shift into 2nd. have to take the revs up to 3500 then let off the gas and it will shift straight from 1st into 3rd. Slowly give it gas after letting off and it will run through the rest just fine. All the gears are strong, no slipping just wont shift into 2nd. Any help would be greatly appreciated. by the way changed to a corvette servo and that wasn't it.

Re: 94 GMC 1500 shifting problems
The servo only changes shift firmness.....
Your tranny may have a stuck valve? The word eludes me.... maybe the 'thing' with plastic gear & weights.. It can be replaced under the dome cover.. ( what the heck is the name of that part??)

Re: 94 GMC 1500 shifting problems
Don't know much about transmissions, not sure what part your talking about. I'd you think of it please let me know. Someone told me maybe a shift solenoid our maybe a burnt band. Think either of those are a possibility? I'm a mechanic, so getting in there doesn't bother me, just not sure what I'm looking at in there.
