Power booster on 64c10
Just got a power booster and mc from 72 caprice to use with captfabs bracket. The rod coming out of the booster has a 7/16 eye on the pedal end and is attached to the booster in a way I cannot see to remove. My stock rod coming from the pedal went through the fire wall and straight into the old mc with a round rod.I have a fix in mind to use the stock rod, but I'm looking for ideas that might be different from what I have in mind. Thanks.

There are multiple help references to this under the 60-66 faq section. You will need to cut the eyelet off. Most thread the end of the rod and adapt it to the original pedal push rod or use a threaded clevis to attach to pedal.

The easiest way is to cut both the booster pushrod and your original pushrod to produce the correct length and weld them together. If you do not have the means to create a good solid weld, the ends of both can be threaded and joined with a coupling nut. They can also be joined by using a piece of tubing that slides over both and drilling thru both pieces and using either a small machine screw or a spring pin to secure the pieces all together.

Re: Power booster on 64c10
The rod out the back of the 72 caprise booster, is round that ends in a flat with a 7/16 hole.I found two washers with 7/16 holes and welded them to my rod from the 64, after cutting it to the right length, and reinforcing the washers into a rod end of sorts.I took some pictures and will post them, as soon my wife can do it. I haven't a clue how.

You can not have a pivot in the middle of that pushrod. That is actually very dangerous. The pushrod between the brake pedal arm and the booster has to be rigid. otherwise if you were to push on the brakes hard that rod will pivot at that point and you will not stop your truck.

You click on the paperclip and a window comes up to upload photos(above) or urls.(below) for a photo; click on a "Browse" button, you can direct it to your photo location from there... Then click the "Upload" key to attach it into your comment, (may take a few moments) Press "preview post" to make sure it got on board, then push "submit" and your "In like Flint," "piece of cake," dog-gone easy...took me a little while to figure it out too.
