LS in a AD guys
Love to know what you used for Radiator hoses.
I cant find a lower that will fit except the ugly $$ flexible ones with the big green stripe |

Re: LS in a AD guys
What are you using for the thermostat housing? I think the stock housing on most/all LS variants ends up with the water neck pointed pretty much straight into the inner fender, which makes fitting a hose challenging. I haven't fit hoses yet, but I did pick up a swivel-neck thermostat housing from Street & Performance. This allows me to point the water neck straight down directly at the radiator outlet, which should make hose fitment a lot easier. Here's a pic showing the housing installed:

Re: LS in a AD guys
I used a swivel neck as well. Mine was the Mr. Gasket one. This allowed us to point it down and it was pretty much a simple 90 degree bent hose that ended up working out I think. Nothing crazy.

Re: LS in a AD guys
Problem I have is the AC unit I am using. The swivel will not work due to the thickness and straight out would hit the belt.

Nice looking setup Iceburg. Hope that constant ticking of the header on the passenger side frame doesn't drive you nuts. Sure looks close.

Re: LS in a AD guys
I would look at having 1 1/2" exhaust pipe bent and use a straight piece of hose to connect the water neck & pipe. Note that you MUST have a bead pressed or welded onto the pipe to keep it from leaking.
You can also find a lot of hose connectors (splices) and silicon / rubber bends in Speedway Motor's catalog. I also used a selection of splices & OEM hoses I found on Summitracing.com : Summit has a huge selection of cheap OEM hoses that you can sort by diameter, length, curves, etc and between the two suppliers even a knuckle dragger like me can plumb a radiator. EDIT: I thought about it a bit more and one supplier I used actually has a *TON* of parts that might help you here. I had great experience with them. Click here for a link. Siliconeintakes.com

Re: LS in a AD guys
Here is the one I used. From the picture you posted it looks like it should work. I don't have any picture handy though.

Re: LS in a AD guys
I also used an s&p pointed straight down, not out. It works well. I've only driven a few blocks at a time so far though.

Here's mine. Napa part # 8661 after some trimming.
Another angle: Here's what was trimmed from the top and bottom to fit perfect:

Re: LS in a AD guys
Napa #9053. Radiator is a 19x24" dual pass.
This was the candidate pool I brought home before I found the ones that worked. Took my bent up TIG wires to the store and matched it up with hoses of the correct size.

Re: LS in a AD guys
Thanks for the hose numbers, Looks like they will fit with a little tweaking. I'm using a Walker radiator made for an LS and they look to be almost a perfect fit. You saved me hours, much apreciated

Re: LS in a AD guys
I wanted to add that I couldn't use the other lower hoses above without a new water neck. The NAPA 708 hose which is listed as an upper and lower fit with the stock neck and just trimming the hose a bit. it fits more GM cars and truck than I can list mostly 6 cylinder and early V8
