200R4 swap
Has anyone installed a 200r4 in a 66 C10 250 Six cylinder? How can I hook up the TV cable? Does anyone make the proper bracket for the cable and carb so it does not toast the trans.

Far as I know you will have to go to a cable throttle linkage (like off a 71 or newwer GM Truck). The factory brackets more than likely have the bracket position to hook up the TV cable. You could also get a linage setup from Lokar.

Re: 200R4 swap
there are a couple different lengths in kick down cables depending on the application ,
Carb or fuel injection etc , My Buick Grand National use's a longer cable , then a carb model , the setting of this cable is very important to making the trans live a long life , if not set right it will burn up using early shifts etc , I believe the 700 R4 use's the same cable , you should be able to find a bracket at any wreckers , that you can mod for your app , and do some measuring to determine cable length |

I did a 700r4 behind my inline 250. I am running a Holley 2300 two barrel. I purchased a kit from Bowie overdrive and it couldn't have been easier to setup. Highly recommend them! A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. If that cable is not set right a new tranny is much, much more $$

Re: 200R4 swap
I e-mailed Bowtie Trans. I have used them for other projects. I think this trans will make the truck a better driver. 3 speed no syncro sucks in heavy freeway traffic and it sounds like the engine will blow any time when going over 60. I put a 700r4 in my 72 blazer and it was much more drivable. Thanks for the help.
