New member and new '72 GMC
After a year or more of searching, today I located and bought this truck:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/171703029280 I owned a '70 C10 many years ago and thought it was a great truck. I sold it due to rust (no garage at the time). This '72 GMC is quite a bit more luxurious than my former truck. I've been watching this excellent forum for some time, and hope to contribute now and then. Bill Luray, VA |

Welcome to the board and you have a very nice truck. I always wanted one like that so I could put my camper on and go park right on a lake and go fishing like it was 1970.

Are you going to fly out and drive it home? That would be a killer trip.... LockDoc

Re: New member and new '72 GMC
On driving it back - I decided against it. Over 3200 miles in a truck I haven't had a chance to go over. Not to mention the threat of ice and snow along the way. Adding in an air ticket and motels, it's cheaper to engage a hauler. Based on past experience, that presents problems too. But eBay has a feedback system for haulers, which may help to avoid the liars and cheats among them.
