Re-sealing trans questions
I'm looking into re-sealing my keeling th-350 trans. I've already replaced the pan gasket and it seems to have stopped leaking there. Where else can it leak from? And can I reseal the trans without having to take it out of the truck? Thanks for any input.

Re: Re-sealing trans questions
There are several other places that they can leak from that can be fixed while still in the truck. One is where the speedometer cable is screwed in. The o-rings fail in and around the "bullet" that can be removed once the cable is unscrewed. The entire bullet assembly is available cheap on ebay.
The shift selector seal can be replaced. Will need a tool made for this in order to do effectively. Oil fill tube seal. Rear slip yolk seal. After that, it's time to pull the trans and replace pump seals. |
