My 77 Blazer Chalet
My neighbor bought this new in 77 and only used it for hunting and to pull his boat to and from the lake. She's got 54,844 original miles. It's just too bad that mother nature and the Pa. road salt didn't treat her as nice. When he died in 94 his family sold it to me for $300.00. I removed most if the trim and chrome to protect it from further damage and started buying replacement panels for it.

DRINK2MNY:
Don't judge all Chalets by the photo of mine. Go to www.blazerchalet.com to see some really nice ones. Chalets are different. Definetly not something you want to have to use as a daily driver but they do come in handy when you want to get away for a weekend and there aren't motels where you want to go. The other reason I like it is because they were low production and there aren't that many survivors left. Rare is good in my books. TINK: Yes I've been to Arron's Chalet webpage many times. He runs the best Chalet website. When I bought mine I was able to contact at least 3 other Chalet owners because of Aaron and Doug. The only camper option mine doesn't have is the overhead bunks, otherwise it's identical to the pics that Aaron has of his on his webpage. Currently mine has all the exterior trim and the new body panels stored inside so there really isn't much to take pictures of. The family that I purchased it from was using the camper section as a storage shed for the son-in-laws electrical business before I bought it.

Ah yes the chalet....god i love mine...and it shames me to have her without motor right now. Finished my tbi swap and as i was watching my scanner the temp got a lil outa hand as the number 5 and 6 rods spun....so yet another 400 bit the dust...so...just built a motor for the wifes V2500 burb...that motor is getting built as a replacemnet...350...040....tbi cam...etc. Bummer is she will not be ready in time for the CK5 Blazer Bash 03 in Moab Utah...but...Aaron is bringing his out from NoCal for all to see..
And actually when mine is running....i swap the chalet and the 79 out every other week...kinda like the army teaches you to do in boot camp with your new boots....lol. The number 1 comment i get is usually at a gas station...nice truck...nope thats a blazer...get out...thats a truck...then i point out the lack of a bed and the K5 emblem....lol. And at stop lights traffic piles to the lane i'm not in...then i smoke'um...lol. We are gonna do some light wheelin with Aaron's chalet for the web sight...maybe some avi's or the such. As far as rare..yes they are...we are thinking with all the years of getting numbers from the back door plates that the numbers might be smaller than thought as a thought aaron compared numbers with the toy chinook sight and it looks like they were produced from the same line as the numbers mingle together. And the rarest of all.....sits with no motor or trans a scant 50 miles from where i live...but i don't have a spare $1500 laying around....yes a 1977 GMC Jimmy CASA GRANDE!!!!!!!!! I'm thinking tax time next year i show up with a trailer on the burb and cash in hand....lol. DW
