I think the center hole on later rims is smaller. They may not fit without some work.

They wont fit, the hub bore isnt large enough

Are you talking steel wheel or alloy Cause I've seen the steel wheel on several trucks. I too have both 16 and 17 inch alloy wheels I had thought about trying on different projects.

Steel or alloy doesn't matter the hub bore is too small. I turned down the hubs on my rear axles to bolt them up but they are also the wrong offset and a 1.25" spacer will make them fit well. The 6 lug axles are narrower than the 5 lug. For the front a 1/2" spacer will allow the wheel to clear the hub. You will need the Dorman extended studs for the front.
