Sounds like a great truck, how about some pictures.

How do you know what the true mileage is?

Re: 1971 c-20 stepside long bed

Rare doesn't always mean valuable...

But a genuine 15,000 mile truck IN GOOD CONDITION is rare just because they were used. Long bed stepsides were not as common as fleetsides, and 4x4 were not as common as 2 wheel drive.

So yes, it's reasonably "rare" in terms of those options, but only (3) things matter in the end: condition, condition, and condition.

Pictures of said truck? Pictures of the SPID (sticker in glovebox that shows all options on the truck)?

Re: 1971 c-20 stepside long bed

Is it a C20 converted to 4x4 or is it a K20?

If it came from GM as a 4 by 4 it is a K20, not a C20.

Sounds rare at 15K, but, speedo's turn back to Zero after 100K. Only after several close up photos of interior, exterior, underhood and underneath will the determination of the rareity be known.

The emblems will say C20 even though it's a K20. There wasn't any K20 emblems

Awesome looking truck! Small fire departments can be a treasure trove for great low mileage old trucks.

Oh my god! my dad worked at perrysburg twp. Fire for years. I just showed him the truck and he remembers it, said he has driven it multiple times! That truck wouldn't happen to be at the public works building on line city road, would it? Can I get a pic of the door logo? I would love to have it as a wallpaper!

That is a sweet truck. It looks like an Estate truck to me. What I mean by Estate is that it would be in my Estate if I owned it. Did you get the tailgate with it?
