Rear Shock Locations (bagged)
I have searched and searched I have looked at so many different things. I have a huge notch that the po put in and he had these huge horrible brackets above the notch to mount the shocks on. I have cut those out and trying to figure out the best place to mount the new shocks. Can you guys PLEASE share some pics of your rear shock mounts?

Re: Rear Shock Locations (bagged)
Does it look anything like this? This was done to my 65 by a PO. I left it. It worked fine and went along with the rat rod thing. I bagged the front and just used shorter shocks to solve that issue.

Re: Rear Shock Locations (bagged)
I kept roughly the same shock angle.
you need long travel gas charged shocks for bagged trucks, or the bags will overwork them. with a stock bed floor that usually means relocated upper mounts. well, there are 53 thousand members here so thats a tenth of one percent. but they arent all on at once and they dont all have bagged trucks. facebook spoils everyone for instant responses, but usually sites like this have higher quality of replies and people actually have done what you are asking. would you want replies from all 100 people who may or may not have any experience with shocks? be patient!

Re: Rear Shock Locations (bagged)
The aftermarket shock relocators are usually set up just like the 60-62 trucks, out back and pretty much straight up and down.
