Wtb frame horns

Looking for a set of front frame horns for my 70 stepper. I'm getting rid of the roll pan look, going back to a bumper, but I need to replace the horns that where hacked off by the PO.

I have another thread requesting the messurement from the leading edge of the radiator support to the tip of the horn determine how much i need to replace, but I would say the lenght of each one needs to be cut at least back to where the radiator support is riveted on would give me plenty of metal to work with.

I appriciate the offer, but Before you cut, do you know if the K20 is the same as the C10 in the frame horn area?

I'm not sure if they're the same or not. This frame is also bent and i will look to see where the bend starts. Maybe someone could chime in on whether there the same or not.

Re: Wtb frame horns

Maybe looking at this picture you can tell if the frames are similar. I'm thinking I only need to replace 4"-6" of the horn.

Re: Wtb frame horns

I think Randy or Mike will be your best bet to get what you need Bugz. I dealt with both of them and had great transactions.

Thanks for taking a run at it...appreciate the thought. Yes I've heard good things about both of them.

Re: Wtb frame horns

Bugz,
Let me clarify...
I don't want... and would never want.... to cut in line on someone.
I want to make sure everyone gets everything they need.
If I can help out, then great. I noticed the front cross member was not the factory one. If you were replacing the horns, I wanted to offer you the cross member. Randy and Dale are great people and I certainly don't want to push anyone out of the way or slight someone over a few dollars.
I hope I didn't seem eager or pushy with the offer of parts.
Have a great day!
Thanks for the kind words Ol' blue!

No foul no harm...I did not interpret you action as offensive. I don't think Dale did either.
I believe Dale bowed out because he was not sure of the condition of his and if the K20 horn would fit a C10.
On the crossmember. I have the stock crossmember behind the one you see in the picture. The PO welded in a monster piece of steel for some reason. I just finished cutting it out....it weighs at least 40 lbs. What a PIA to get out without screwing up the rails. I appreciate your offer however.

We'll see what Randy comes up with....then you are next. How's that sound?
Thanks Mike

Re: Wtb frame horns

I looked this morning I have a good front section, I'm headed back to work now I will post pics and you can look at them and tell me where you'd like them cut. It has the front crossmember on it too. Thanks Randy
