For all you guys running the ekstensive rear kit
What shocks are you guys running on the rear with your kit also what shocks up front would yall recommend..... I will be running 1.5" sectioned crossmember with 3" drop spindles and mmw uppers and lowers oh an I will be cutting off the spring pockets on the crossmember an putting on some custom bag mounts that will be around 2" higher than the stock plate mount style bracket for the bag. Thanks

Re: For all you guys running the ekstensive rear kit
On the front you need to install a shock relocator mount. I know Ekstensive carries them. You can use factory front shocks, but I recommend something with a little more heavy duty since you'll be going up and down more often than average. On the rear, I called Nate at Porterbuilt and he gave me the model number that you can buy from the local parts store. He also said its more about placement/mounting of the shocks than anything else.

Re: For all you guys running the ekstensive rear kit
People use them because of the price tho,A rear kit from them is 650 bucks vs 1600 bucks for a rear drop member.A 2 link is ok if its a show truck or cruiser something that don't see many miles.A daily driver or something that will see a ton of miles a 4 link or 6 link will ride better and last longer.

Re: For all you guys running the ekstensive rear kit
Have you called and talked to them to see what they would recommend? Talk to Bill, he's the owner and a hell of a nice guy.
We put a ton of miles on Bill's (owner of Ekstinsive) Crew Cab Dually back in the day with a 2 link. Drug the big box trailer to Heat Wave in Austin and several other shows loaded down with his old orange van and full retail display and only had one self inflicted failure that I can remember.

Re: For all you guys running the ekstensive rear kit
I recommend Ekstensive to everybody that asks. Their front and rear kit are very affordable and if you want to add or modify your kit over time. Wish I woulda started out with Ekstensive myself. My build would have been a whole lot further along.
